    Mr Monkey by LINDA CHAPMAN

I liked about the story that Mr Monkey eats lots and lots of jam every day and he keeps eating it. My favourite character is Mr Monkey because he is magic. The monkey is different to me because I am a human and he is a monkey. And he is similar to me because he is cheeky and I am cheeky. I would recommend it to someone who likes making things real.

I liked The Messy Mermaid because it was fun to read. It was good when the fairy godmother granted the mermaid’s wish that all of her friends could come to her house. The messy mermaid was my favourite character because of the wishes that she had. I think that all my friends should read it, because they liked it when I read it to them.

I liked this book as Kittie Lacey is so good at cutting people’s hair, and I like
it when she is so shocked to see the witch, who is scary. My favourite character is Kittie Lacey
as she has pink and purple hair. I would recommend it to my friends and my mum. Her salon was so
pretty I couldn’t believe my eyes, I wish my bedroom looked like that.

    “Quiet in the Library”

The librarian said please be quiet in the library and she showed them signs which said
no phones in the library. At the end she made noise at her house with a girls band. I
enjoyed the book. It was funny because she was noisy at the end.

    Oak Tree, Reception
    I like The Gingerbread Man.
I like it when he runs away from everyone.
I like the old lady who made him.
I like singing the song “Run, run as fast as you can. You can’t catch me I’m the gingerbread man!”

    The Gruffalo,

The gruffalo is exciting, the mouse is trying not to be eaten by all the other animals so he thinks by making up an animal they will be scared off. But then the mouse sees that the gruffalo is real and gets scared so he pretends to be the scarist animal in the wood, which scares off the gruffalo.
I like the book because it’s a little bit scary and a little bit funny. My favourite is the mouse, because he is clever and he’s cute.
I would like my best friends in my class to read the gruffalo because ‘I love it’.

This is my favourite book before bedtime because I enjoy the fun words such as swish and swosh as the family go through mud. The book is also spooky as they go through the scary forest. I also enjoy saying the story really fast as it rhymes and you can end up singing it! The best character is the bear at the end because he has a wet nose and chases the family at the end as they run back to their house and hide in their bed. I also like the baby as he is cute.
I would recommend this book to Mrs Henderson as she is fun and would like going through the squelchy mud and having adventures.

    Book: My Name is Bob
Authors: James Bowen and Garry Jenkins

Characters: Bob, James, old lady, ambulance men, street cats, strangers, the bin lorry men, the pizza men, the little boy and his mum, a duck, a butcher.

I love this book because it is about a cute cat and it is a true story. Bob is
very sweet and I liked the kind old lady. I like the pictures and the way the words are written nicely and the happy ending. I like looking at the photo’s of the real cat Bob at the end.

I don’t like the bit where Bob’s bitten and I think the book was upsetting at the start but then it is joyful. I really like reading it and think Nina would like it as she likes cats.

    Little Red Riding Hood

I liked this story very much. Its about a girl little red riding hood who lived with her mum and dad in the forest. Her mum gave her flowers and cookies to take to grandmother who lived far away. But she found somebody else there, and it was a fox that wanted to eat her. She screamed ‘Help’ and her dad came and chased the fox away. Nobody saw it ever again.

That’s the end of the story by Shiro
